When Bodo Gäverd established the company “Gävert Nutz- und Baufahrzeuge” in 1993, he laid his corporate foundations in the strategically located municipality of Bornhöved, Holstein.
He knew how to use the years that followed for strategic expansion, and in so doing built up a global network with trading partners in more than 100 countries. As a result of these alliances, in 2005 the BODO Group included BODO Global GmbH & Co. KG (new machinery) and BODO GmbH & Co. KG (used machinery), while BODO Polska Sp. z.o.o. set up a branch in Poznań in 2006.
In the same year, BODO brought SANY Heavy Industry Ltd., China’s biggest listed manufacturer of high-quality machinery and production technology, on board for distribution to the markets in Germany and Poland.
BODO Int. GmbH & Co. KG was established in 2011 to strategically reposition the Group business operations.
GOMACO, the world market leader for concrete technology, reached out to Bodo Gävert in 2016 to get business off the ground again after a more than 15-year absence from the German-speaking market. BODO is the exclusive contact for the US corporate group and organises distribution and service operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
In choosing GOMACO, BODO has also opted to use concrete as a material. GOMACO’s persistent innovative strength, moving towards new standards in concrete technology, leads to outstanding processing results on construction sites.
The addition of TECWILL to the portfolio was the logical consequence of the intensive years in the concrete sector. Tecwill is one of the world's leading manufacturers of mobile and stationary concrete batching and mixing plants. as well as batch control systems, offering its customers reliable and modern solutions for the production of high-quality concrete. BODO proudly represents the strong and innovative finnish company on the German speaking market.
In 2024, BODO Int. is expanding its portfolio yet again to include another innovative Finnish manufacturer: Geomachine OY. Geomachine's core competences lie in soil investigation with specific data logging and deep geothermal energy. All devices are designed to work perfectly under the toughest conditions. Deep drilling and geothermal energy will play a key role in the quest for green energy.
